The Library and Information Centre holds a constantly growing information resources collection (books, monographs, journals, serials, archival and museum material, etc.) a great part of which is available in electronic form. Online access to the following electronic catalogs and information resources may be free for everyone or limited only to the academic community of the University of Thessaly (via IP identification, use of access codes or remote access via the Virtual Private Network [VPN] service).
Access to electronic resources in 2026

The full text of all of the following electronic resources (journal articles, e-book titles, and other resources) can be searched and located through EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS).
The titles of all electronic journals can be located through EBSCO Publication Finder and the BrowZine journal cataloging service .
Note: EDS, Publication Finder and BrowseZine systems/services include updated source titles (according to the subscriptions of the University of Thessaly and HEAL-Link), as well as selected freely accessible resources
Electronic ReSources (which are provided to University of Thrace members locally or remotely via VPN)
A) HEAL-Link subscriptions to journal packages from major publishers (15,245 electronic journal titles) and to 13 Databases and other Information Materials.
B) University of Thessaly Library subscriptions to EBSCO databases Academic Search Ultimate, ECONLit etc.) with access to the full text of 11,145 journal titles and to bibliographic data from more than60 databases.
C) University of Thessaly Library subscriptions to 111 journal titles excluding those of SEAB/HEAL-Link and EBSCO). The titles have been integrated into the EBSCO Publication Finder and BrowZine services .
D) Access to more than 448,000 e-book titles: approximately 29,200 through EBSCO, 418,000 through SEAB/HEAL-Link and 1,100 through the Kallipos repository - locate them using the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS).
